I know you all have seen the “eating red meat makes you die early” crap study that has been published recently. I’m disgusted to say that such a fallacy would even be published as science, but unfortunately that is the nutritional bull that comes out these days, thus my reference to it as “crap.”
I also know that you guys don’t like to read long posts, but I implore you to read this post written by Gary Taubes (author of Good Calories, Bad Calories and other amazing nutritional books) specifically on the study. Tonight instead of watching a 30 minute TV show, read this (it will take you about 10-15 minutes to read and maybe 5-10 more minutes of research to understand it). This post will better your health much more than any TV show (if Walking Dead were on tonight that might be a different story).
Here it is…go READ!

I know I am turning into a geek when, as I read the first articles that came out about the new “red-meat=death” scare that when I saw “epidemiological studies” referenced in the stories, I laughed out loud! Taubes says so well, and so efficiently, what makes these articles so ludicrous. Thank God for the universal access to information available to us today
